The Taibah schools joined together and put up a big show called “The Hills Are Alive.” For the annual theatre production.
We sang, danced, and acted daily. The songs were about nature, mountains, and fun times. We also learnt fun dance moves and how to act like characters from the story. Our teachers helped us remember our lines and taught us where to stand on the stage.
They also made costumes. Some children dressed as Barbie girls, flowers, and so many others. The costumes were so colourful!
The tickets cost fifty thousand shillings. The money helped to buy costumes, build the nice stage from Buzz and Swangz Avenue, and lights for the stage.
Some children helped in selling the tickets. Parents were very excited to come and they did in big numbers and all loved it. Some parents even wiped tears from their eyes because they were so proud of the children.
They told us we did a wonderful job. They said the songs were beautiful, the dances were full of joy, and the acting made them smile and laugh.
It made us feel so happy to see our parents so proud of us. We thank all our parents, friends, families, and people from all areas who came to watch the show.
