Stealing hands, so quick and sly
Taking what is not yours and wondering why
The temptation is strong, the moment is brief
But the guilt and shame can last a lifetimes grief
In the shadows, you hide your face
Afraid to confront the wrong you have made
The weight of secrets, the burden of lies A heavy heart and a troubled mind sigh
Stealing is a choice, a path you have chosen
Leaving behind a trail of broken oaths
Trust is shattered like broken glass
And pieces of respect can never be amassed
So let this be a lesson to me and you
That the stealing mistake is not worth the pain.
