GREETINGS
I salute you all in the name of the most Merciful and Gracious God, who has sustained us up to the end of this term. Today, Thursday, 17th April 2025, marks the closure of Term One of the academic year 2025. Next term begins on 20th May 2025.
This has been quite an eventful term filled with numerous activities but we were able to accomplish all of them as planned.
ACADEMIC
All our pupils have engaged in significant, well-planned and closely monitored academic programme throughout the term. They underwent fortnight tests and End-of-Term examinations, during which they registered significant progress.
DISCIPLINE
The pupils’ conduct has remained generally good due to various approaches employed to assist them in behaving well and enjoying the benefits of self-discipline. These included counselling sessions with the senior Woman and Man, professional counselling sessions and behavioural change programs. We thank you, parents, for your cooperation and contribution towards instilling discipline in your respective children.
SPORTS DAY
We had a wonderful Sports Day for both our kindergarten and primary pupils, held on separate days to maximise participation. Our pupils were challenged by different sporting disciplines in which they competed, and I can say it was top-notch! We cannot forget the invaluable input of our parents, who contributed enormously in various ways to ensure the success of the sports day. To appreciate the efforts of our pupils who excelled in different disciplines, we awarded them Gold medals for first place, Silver for second and Bronze for third. All this was done to encourage those who did not win to work harder next time and to promote the spirit of competition in the future.
CONTACT WEEK
In line with the Taibah philosophy, we are committed to the holistic development of individuals not only through co-curricular activities but also by emphasiSing academics. We were able to host our parents at the school to review the academic progress of our learners. The contact week provided a significant opportunity for teachers to interface with parents and children, thus developing coherence in child upbringing.
THEATRE PRODUCTION
Indeed, we are a school to reckon with! Theatre exposed our learners to the variety that the Taibah philosophy envisions. We are all multi-talented, but we need someone to unlock that potential, which otherwise remains latent. We did that successfully as we saw our pupils thrilling the audience with energetic performances. We are indeed indebted to our parents who took the time to attend our theatre, and all of you who contributed immensely towards the purchase of costumes. we are so grateful!
ACT OF KINDNESS
Our act of kindness this time aimed to help members of our community and the learners involved in activities within the school, such as assisting the blue team in serving food, washing and scrubbing the school compound, among other activities. We hope and believe that we are planting a seed in our children to grow up knowing that it is more blessed to give than to receive.
HEALTH
We have experienced an unprecedented outbreak of flu and cough, causing many of our learners to miss school. I implore you, parents, to immediately seek proper medical attention for your child if such cases arise, to prevent further spread in the school.
I would also like to inform all parents whose children use boda boda means of transport to ensure the provision of helmets, so as not to compromise the safety of our learners.
SWIMMING
We have a well-attended swimming pool that is well-maintained, where our learners enjoy lessons. We also have a serene poolside that we have opened for public usage for celebrations such as birthday parties, graduation parties, and any other gatherings you would like to have in a quiet setting. Please come and book with us at an affordable fee.
Lastly, I wish you a fruitful holiday with your child and encourage you to go through what they have learned with their teachers so that they do not switch off completely. I thank you all! Our commitment to deliver has no bounds!
